Aurora Library Community Center and Skating Area ($50M)

As part of the development of Aurora’s Cultural Precinct, the Aurora Cultural Centre, housed in the Church Street School – which occupies Aurora’s future Town Square site – will receive a 32,500 square foot addition. Both the Square and the Centre will form part of the Town’s cultural hub, providing new civic gathering spaces for concerts, markets, performing, dramatic and visual arts, as well as museum and archival functions. A new pedestrian bridge will span across the Square, linking the Cultural Centre to the existing Aurora Library, which will be renovated in conjunction with this development. The overall development will meet the highest standards of sustainable design.
